Year 6
Welcome to Year 6
In your final year at East Farleigh we will predominantly be completing all elements of the curriculum and consolidating learning so far, in order to become 'secondary ready'. We hope that you will become more independent, resilient and reflective as a learner but have a lot of fun along the way too! Highlights of the year include: looking after a Reception Class buddy, A trip to Shakespeare's Globe and the Imperial War Museum, a 3 day residential trip to Windmill Hill, and taking a leading part in the school's summer play. You will also get the opportunity to learn about the World Wars, Evolution and the Polar Regions . Other experiences include the chance to take part in a Bikeability course, leading the science fair (as part of science week), and the chance to help run the school arts festival. During the course of the year, you will be encouraged to take on responsibilities within school such as: Prefects, House Captains, Play Leaders and Peer mediators as well as representing the school and Kent in many activities across the curriculum.
