Year 6 Rainy day Autumn lanterns

It was an interesting day weather wise. We had a lot of rain and it was quite windy. It didn’t stop year 6 from getting creative and making some really lovely Autumn lanterns.

We used wax paper, card and leaves. We have thousands of leaves on the floor at the moment from all the trees in the school grounds.

After our activity the children helped me making the fire. They we responsible for making it. They did a brilliant job. Once the fire was lit we used our Kelly kettles to make some yummy hot chocolate.
