Exploring Ancient Egyptian inventions

As we moved on to our new topic — the Ancient Egyptians — we spent our lessons discovering some of the fascinating inventions, discoveries, and practices from up to 5,000 years ago!

We began by creating hieroglyphic alphabets, which we then used to write our own names. Next, we built sugar pyramids, discovering just how challenging it must have been to construct such enormous and perfectly symmetrical monuments. Finally, we became ancient make-up artists, mixing powders and water to create beautiful make-up pastes to “paint” the face of Queen Nefertiti!
