Darting through the River Dart!
This week, Year 4 had a thrilling trip to the enchanting River Dart. This exciting outing complimented our geography curriculum, focusing on natural processes such as erosion and deposition along the river. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore the great outdoors and see real-life examples of what we've learnt in the classroom.
During our visit, we meandered along the riverbanks and observed how the river shapes its path through Horton Kirby and beyond. The children learnt how water flow affects the landscape, creating various geographical features over time. This hands-on experience was not only educational but also fostered a deeper appreciation for nature among our young learners. We loved our engaging and informative day at the River Dart!
