Class Two's Christmas Kindness
This term, we have explored what it means to belong, and what communities we belong to. We have also considered the impact that our words and actions have on one another. We considered how we can spread kindness on the run up to Christmas, both within our school community and beyond.
We decided to help those who didn’t have much at Christmas, such as homeless people. We thought about what items they might not have but would need: handwarmers, tissues, comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, clean and warm socks, wet wipes, deodorant, nail file, candy cane, chocolate and hand sanitiser.
We set to work filling our socks with these items to send to a local homelessness charity, Medway Street Angels, before tying them up and writing a kind Christmas message for the recipient. These socks will be distributed to those who need them most and was a lovely way for us to exercise our school value of kindness!
