Year 4 on Cloud Nine as Water Cycle Work Rains Down Success!
Our curious year 4 scientists have been hard at work, investigating the water cycle in ways that have brought both fun and learning right into their classroom. From setting up their own mini-clouds to watching rain form, their hands-on experiments have not only deepened their understanding but also sparked a love for science that is wonderful to see.
We observed evaporation in front of our very eyes, as the water turned to steam rising up to the top of our mini atmospheres. As it hit the 'ice-cool' atmosphere (lid), the vapour turned to condensation just like it does above our heads every day. Eventually, we noticed our condensation clouds burst pouring precipitation back down to the cup below. As cool as this experiment was, it was a great way to see our states of matter learning in action and link it to a real-life example that happens all day, every day!
