Teeth-tastic week in Year 4

This week, our Year 4 students embarked on an exciting journey into the world of dental science, exploring the mysteries of molars, canines, and incisors. It's been a fantastic opportunity for them to learn how each type of tooth plays a unique role in our daily eating habits. We've delved into the science behind why we need different teeth and how they help us chew different kinds of food. The children have been absolutely thrilled to discover the wonders inside their mouths!

Not only did the students learn about teeth, but they also took part in an investigation into the impact of different liquids on our teeth. Through soaking eggshell in orange juice, squash, water, cola and milk we we able to observe what happens with continued exposure to things we all consume regularly!  We believe that hands-on learning is one of the best ways to engage young minds, and judging by the smiles on their faces, it was a resounding success. Stay tuned for more updates, and don't forget to ask your little ones about what they've learned about their teeth this week!
