Pumpkin Time
Year 3 Forest school 10th October
Today was a day filled with Pumpkins! We learnt about the different parts of a pumpkin and what they were called. They were cut up and the children then had a lot (alot!) of fun touching the seeds, getting gooey, slimey and messy. They then did some fun nature art all about, you guessed it- pumpkins!
During the lunch break between sessions it started raining, so we put some shelters up to make sure the children were able to stay dry in the second session incase the rain stayed. Thankfully the rain stopped.
The children enjoyed a nice warm cup of hot chocolate. They loved being able to warm their hands up as it did start getting a little chilly.
Year 3 Pumpkins
The children ended the session by picking up something from the ground they thought was interesting and told me why they chose that item. I enjoyed listening to all their thoughts! I think they will all sleep well tonight!!
