Phonics - h, b, f, l

This week in Phonics in the EYFS we have learnt the sounds 'h, b, f, l'.

 During our child initiated sessions we had a selection of activities linked to our new sounds, these included: writing h in hot dogs, using tweezers to move loose parts into the formation of a b, practicing writing the letter f in trays of dried flowers, using 'spy pens' to find the letter 'l'.

The children have also been working extremely hard with their letter formation and mark making in our writing practice sessions in the afternoons, their pencil grip and control is really coming along in just a few short weeks!
