Introducing Nugget....
We had a fabulous day today making some DIY bird feeders. We have a resident Robin the children have now named 'Nugget'. He attends all forest school sessions and sings us a lovely song.
So I decided it was time we made him some feeders.
We used the saw horse and bow saw to cut some wood cookies. Some of the children then made holes which they can thread through twine to hang them in the trees. The wood cookie serves as a little table where some food can be left for the birds.
We ran out of time to get all the holes drilled with our palm drills - so the children will be bringing them home to drill some holes.
The forest school area looks lovely with all the feeders. Nugget made a few appearances absolutely delighted I'm sure with all the food. He will have a very full belly this weekend!!!
