Geography Fieldwork Keeper's Nursery Y5
Year 5 enjoyed a hands-on learning experience this week during a trip to Keeper's Nursery, combining fresh air with real-world geography skills.
As part of their geography curriculum, the children explored the nursery to observe how the natural environment and human activity work together in food and tree production. We learnt all about how the nursery produces fruit trees for people to buy and the children practised key fieldwork techniques such as questioning and observing.
Mr Habibi gave us an amazing talk about how the nursery is farmed and the process of growing fruit trees to sell. The visit ended with a tasting session of different apple varieties and they were absolutely delicious!
A HUGE thank you to Mr Habibi for hosting us and for giving the children such an enriching learning experience.
