Religious Education

At East Farleigh Primary School, our Religious Education (RE) curriculum is based on the Kent agreed syllabus incorporating 'Understanding Christianity'. This comprehensive and inclusive curriculum provides our students with a deep understanding of all beliefs and practices while encouraging respect and appreciation for diverse religious traditions.

Philosophical Approach

Our approach to RE is both philosophical and reflective. We encourage children to explore and question beliefs, values, and ethical issues, fostering critical thinking and open-mindedness. Through engaging discussions, reflective activities, and thought-provoking questions, students develop their own informed perspectives on religion and spirituality.

We are proud to have been awarded the RE Bronze Mark, recognizing our outstanding teaching in Religious Education. This accolade highlights our commitment to delivering high-quality RE lessons that inspire, challenge, and engage our students.

Curriculum Highlights

- Interactive Learning-  Our lessons incorporate oracy, storytelling, drama, art, and music to make learning about Christianity and other religions engaging and memorable.

Community and Worship

In addition to classroom learning, our RE curriculum includes collective worship and community events. These experiences help children connect with their own spirituality and understand the role of religion in the lives of others.

At East Farleigh Primary School, we are dedicated to providing an RE curriculum that not only educates but also inspires our students to become thoughtful, respectful, and knowledgeable individuals.
